Comprehensive Healthcare & Wellness for Students at Doon Public School
Dental health awareness and access to dental care is critically lacking across India — affecting people from all economic backgrounds
Even wealthy, upper-class families in India often lack access to basic dental care. Many people who can afford healthcare have never received a professional dental cleaning, never been taught proper oral hygiene, and have never visited a dentist for preventive care.
This isn't about poverty alone — it's about a fundamental gap in healthcare awareness and infrastructure. Dental health education simply isn't widespread in India, and preventive dental care is not part of the cultural norm, even among educated, affluent families.
If wealthy families don't have access to dental care, imagine the situation for underprivileged children. Most students at Doon Public School have never seen a dentist, never learned how to brush their teeth properly, and have no understanding of oral hygiene or dental disease prevention.
That's why our dental health program is so critical — we're not just providing dental care, we're introducing an entirely new concept of health and wellness to these children.
"For many of our students, this will be their first time learning about dental hygiene and oral health. We're not just teaching them how to brush their teeth — we're introducing fundamental health awareness that will impact their entire lives and future generations."
